WOW. what a night! i already heard Sky spin out so many times (not to mention everyday in my living room) but something about hearing her on glow's sound system was just - amazing. i know how nervous she was, cuz i was a nervous wreck FOR her! but she mixed excellent, and she banged every track out from beginning to end. i just kept thinking - DC doesnt know what hit them!! just the look on everyone's face, even people i didnt know, totally into her set, loving every second. It was definitely no warmup set, it was a total workout from beginning to end. And she had the entire room dancing! i thought a lot of the strictly-tranceheads wouldnt get into it, but people really danced hard. she kept asking me "am i doing ok?" and i just said "look" cuz for once, she got to see what it was like on the other side of the dj booth, making all those people go nuts! something most of us could only imagine! and at our favorite club! unfortunately i dont know the names of most of her tracks.... the only ones i knew by name was Cafe Del Mar, and Its A Fine Day, and what a sick remix! i was completely drained by the end of her set, but i knew roberto was going to be just as awesome. janette - my glow sister - you will rock those decks again! i just know it!!

anyways.. then roberto came on. starting out slow, giving us a chance to catch our breath. looking a little nervous at first but that quickly turned into a smile, and i know he was loving every second. thanks so much roberto for packing all those songs for me, you're awesome! the whole set was awesome! Children of the Sun was a nice surprise, i wasn't expecting that. You were really great and i hope they book you again! And i'm looking forward to your next cd (which, *ahem* you promised would be a recording of last night, so i guess they RECORDED ALL THE SETS??? )

some songs i remember:

Above & Beyond - No One On Earth
Radiohead - Street Spirit (Tiesto remix)
Robert Gitelman - Children of the Sun
Adagio For Strings!!
Signum - First Strike (thanks flight for the id)
Way Out West - Mindcircus
Jump The Next Train - dont know which remix

then pete came on, didnt even know he was going to spin, and i think i enjoyed his set last night even more than last week. He played a lot of really great songs. wish they would have let him spin longer, everyone was totally into it. i was completely exhausted by the end of the night, i dont even know how i walked out of the club and then managed to drive almost 4 hours.

some tracks from pete's set:

tiesto - traffic
Interstate - I Found You
Kyau vs Albert- Made of Sun (awesome track!!!)
dave gahan - dirty sticky floors
encore - Ridgewalkers feat. El - Find (andy moore remix?)

i'm sure i'll remember more of a tracklist later.

those of you that came out: mario, djguatamala, koon, sergio, niaz, mo, MUSTAFA!!!, jp, hammad, flight, fireboy dancer and your girl, franco, danny, DHARMA (sam)!!!, cory and robin, jose, gerald, and anyone else who i'm missing.... here's to another great night and i'm glad i got to ring in the new year with you all. and those of you that weren't there, kick yourselves! you missed a hell of a night! but dont worry, 3 photographers last night capturing the moments! cant wait to see the pics.
