REVIEW: Darkrave @ Funhaus

I got there at 10:30 and there was already a line-up.Thats the first times I've ever seen that before but I figured that since it was a free ALL ages party then more people would come:) .I have to say that I luv these parties:D ...There are so many freaks that come to these & people from all walks of life but thats why I luv it...I like the variety :tongue2 ...Anyway when I walked in there, I believe Lazarus was up first and he was kickin it really hard and then I think Phink came on...Drag N Fly was SOO in good & then Toronto's sweetheart Lady Bass took over & got the place rocking :crazy: (I was glad to finally meet you standing next to Jeff;) )...The backroom was open as well & I loved how they showed "Clockwork Orange" on the wall...one of my all time faves ;-).The beats out of that room we're great as well.It was hard trying to figure out which room to party in due to the awesome beats from BOTH rooms.
Throughout the night I kept running into people that I knew & also meet new friends:) .I finally met Santa Mike (best liquid dancer)...I also met Collin & his brother Mike& ran into my usual posse like Alf(Your pal Scooby had me in stitches :-)) ),Steve,Adam & tall Matt & a load of others.I was also so glad to see Chris (DJ Nexus) & his g/f Jen.I left bad for Chris since he hadn't slept for 48 hours & was visibly tired but still danced a bit whenever he had the energy...

HUGE thanx for Darkrave for you're efforts in 2004;).I felt I bit dissapointed that ya can't have these parties @ Reveb anymore (for one thing its not AS hot there) but I've been to Funhaus on other occasions & with better fans/air circulation then I will make it out to more Darkraves in 2005

| Did not get to the darkrave until after 3am, never been to funhaus or a darkrave before. Had a great time, funhaus seems like a good venue for an event like a darkrave. The music was actually better in the backroom when we arrived, some good hard trance, no idea who was spinning. Moved back to the main room after a bit, and the music was getting really good in there too. Was with four friends, and everyone agreed that it was awesome, and that we should do a few more darkraves this year for sure. Kinda interesting arriving that late, in that everyone else was trashed before we got there. loved the crowd, and it was not to packed so lots of room to dance. Backroom was a little warm, but the main room was fine, clearly better ventilated. All in all a 8 out of 10, would like to have been there earlier, and could have gone on a lot longer, was kinda disappointed when the music stopped at around 5:45am, but I guess that was our fault getting there was late. |

| I think that they have to shut it down that early for noise reasons.I was actually surprised that the back room was open because the last time I was there they didn't have that room open BECAUSE of previous noise complaints. |

I gotta find a night off work to attend one of these legendary Darkraves.
Noise Complaints = most likely from the Jungle parties ... bass so loud, you can feel the vibration all the in Jamica. (HT) |
