dear all,
i'm listening for a while for this bass pattern and it seems to start very simple
K---K---K---K
--bB--BB--bB-BB
whith an ascending delay after the 2nd and 4th kick.
but after the break an additional bass figure appears, giving the whole thing the drive it needs and i'm not sure how this additional bassline is built. i think this one works very well. :)
>>> Example can be found here!
any help will be highly appreciated,

it's the airbase rmx of "smooth" by IIO. i like the unusual "not that sweet girlygirl-vocals" very much. ;) |

| Not anything to do with the question, but IMHO this is the best remix available of that track. The bassline is truly sweet. |

Ahem....I would like to know what that pattern is as well :D

| xls |
code:
K---K---K---K---
BB-B_BBBBB-B_BBB
The "_" means the bass note is held a little longer than just a 16th note. (maybe stretch it out by a 32nd note)
Alternatively, you could do it like this if you're having trouble with the kick and bass conflicting:
code:
K---K---K---K---
-B-B_BBB-B-B_BBB
That way there's no bass hitting at the same time as the kick, but it should give a similar galloping feel.
Try giving the bass a little shuffle to make it swing even more. |

Here's the best I could come up with. Now that I look at it I think it's the same pattern xls posted.
Bass sound
And here's the pattern:
