In fruity loops 5
go to Options>Audio Settings>directsound settings
on this there should be a slider slide it up to around 200ms and the crackles should go if not do it even higher
also check the output that it outputting to your soundcard and not onboard. if you have one
this should do it |

| You might need a better sound card for production work than the SB. I believe the SB has a pretty high latency. In the mean time, to relieve the CPU, you might need to export your z3ta sounds to loops so you only have 1 or 2 instances of it running at one time until you can affort to upgrade your hardware. |

| Changing your FL buffer to big number doesn't help if you don't have a good sound card. It just gets even worse. |

Actually it helped me. I only have an onboard soundcard in action right now and when I increased the buffer to around 80ms everything worked fine. |
