Demographics anyone?

Being a 35 year old fart, I'm wondering how welcoming (or un-welcoming) are the local clubs and raves to someone this age.

I would also like to know how to run a poll on the demographics of this webpage user's. I can see a tool at the bottom of each page ("Post a Poll:") but I don't have a clue about how to use it, or if it will serve the purpose.

the whole beauty of the rave scene is its acceptence of everyone - if you're there to have fun and enjoy the music, you're accepted (unless you have "narc" tattooed across your face)

but the rave scene is all but gone it seems.

as for clubs, you just have to pick the club. sometimes when i go out, i feel old and out of place (and i'm only 24). different nights have different demographics. but on the whole "rave music" clubs are usually pretty diverse.

there's also the funny 35 year old farts that look like they crawled right out of the cubical :)

that's funny to see.

(dont that what you wear is important, but it says something about your state of mind (ie. no dockers / blue jeans) )

cool response, so far...

I might run some sort of poll (...now that I've seen how they work)
related to the subject.

I've been to countless "Club" events were age is irrelevant. , last week at PVD (at GUV) I saw an old asian lady that had to be the same age as my grand mother. No lie, she had white hair, and sunglasses.

Unfortunately a lot of older people get into the scene for the wrong reasons, one being the drug abuse.

Toronto is actually pretty accepting of all demographics, just watch those Ginos. :D

just like halo20 said, I can't remember going to a club where age was an issue. It's very welcoming, as long as you don't go to an all ages event (ie, no ID required)

I think the rave scene in Toronto is dying. Haven't been to a really good rave in a long time. Even all those events we had at the EX, I've noticed the crowd is getting smaller. Maybe in the summer it will pick up again. It used to be awesome there.

But again, don't worry about your age. You should have no problems fitting. As long as you leave all the young fine ladies to us...LOL, J/K, enjoy your stay in Toronto!

At 35 you will be older than the majority but you are still young so peeps may think you are an undercover cop. Sorry I call 'em like I see 'em.
