Since 2001 John has been pushing his distinctive sounds to the masses through his now firmly established record label - Discover - which has also seen releases from The Thrillseekers, Ralphie B, Pablo Gargano, Germany’s Kyau vs Albert, Backbeat and many others.
Today, although he continues to A&R Discover, John has taken a step back from the running of the label in order to concentrate on his new project - Kompressed Recordings. With recent releases from Airbase, Arc in the Sky, Goldenscan and John himself, Kompressed has needed little time to establish itself as another high quality output for the harder edged dance music and a true reflection of what to expect from a John Askew dj set.
