So me and my friend is planning on going to ibiza this summer.
Any tips? Like which airport to fly into?
Should we take the ferry to the ibiza island, or take a air plane.
Any best time to book our flights for the cheapest Air fare?
Which cheap but good hotel we should stay in while ibiza that are located near the clubs?
How much money am i looking to spend while we are on the island?
You know, stuff like that... Any help to make this trip possible.
Thanks In Advance....

awesome!!! well, i went last year for 3 days, had an absolute BLAST, so i'd love to give you whatever info i have that might be helpful.. so hear it is:
first off, be checking out www.ibiza-spotlight.com . They have full listings of djs and where/when they're playing (as soon as that's available), great info on hotels, clubs, beaches, airlines, etc!! one of the best resources i had :)
secondly, here's a little bit about money:
well, for each day there i would estimate it as follows -
hotel - $30-$70 per person, depending on location
food - let's say $25
club tix - anywhere from $30-$90
drugs/drinks - $20-$100
Taxis - $20-60. Plan where you're staying carefully, hopping back and forth across the island between san antoni and ibiza town area can be quite expensive... you're gonna hafta use them sooner or later though, because amnesia and privilige are both right in the middle of the two Also consider renting a scooter, $30 a day, but difficult when you're ed up lol
Total - $125 ~ $345 per day of partying, all depending on where you stay, what clubs you wanna hit up, and how ed up you wanna get Add airfare, a couple of friends, and you've got yourself a great time!
i stayed in a decent hotel in san antoni (Hotel Galfi, very nice, cheap, decent rooms, close to stuff in san antoni), $30/night/person. Check out ibiza-spotlight, or hotels.com, or hostels.com for some good deals ;)
Probably your biggest concern is where on the island you want to stay... either near ibiza town, which has pacha, space, bora bora, dc10, and the nicest beaches and cool town close by, or san antoni, which has eden, es paradis, el divino, cafe del mar, all the sunset clubs, and also some nice beaches. Clubs like amnesia and privilige are directly between the two cities, so it doesn't matter either way for them. Read up on ibiza-spotlight on all the clubs and locations, and pick somewhere that's right for what you're looking for :) Also, prices seem to be a lot cheaper on the san antoni side of the island.
As for airfare/getting there, here's what i reccomend. Definitely don't take the ferry - unless you speak spanish, it's a SERIOUS pain in the ass to line ferry boats up - the schedules/reservations/etc are pretty confusing... also, unless you can schedule one of the fast ones (which are 4 hours from barcelona), you may get stuck with the normal 9 hour one haha.
Your best bet is to book tickets to london, and then seperate tickets to ibiza. London (i think) has the most, cheapest, and widest variety of tickets to ibiza, and i'm sure london is one of the cheapest and easiest places to fly from the US.
Anyway, hope some of this info might have helped you, feel free to IM/PM me if you wanna know more :)

hey there. i went to Ibiza this summer and thanks to my friend in the tourist office, I got a good deal on my hotel.
I actually flew in to Ibiza airport with my return tick from barcelona costing $150. I think the ferry is $50 tho am not sure.
There are various parts of the island so depending on what you want to do, its up to you. I would reccommend you rent a car at the airport (and do pay the extra 5 euro a day insurance!!) because the clubs are only accessible by car or party bus. the rental cost was about 50 euro/day.
If your goal in going to Ibiza is to hook up with loads of girls and get wasted for cheap with all the brit crew, then San Antonio is your area.
If you want to go clubbing, but want to chill during the day, I reccommend you stay near Ibiza town (which is really beautiful, but more expensive) or Playa En Bossa. I stayed in a nice little hotel, with the friendliest staff, in Las Figueres, 3mins drive out of Ibiza Town, 2mins to Pacha, El Divino, 10mins to Amnesia and Priviledge, 15mins to San Antonio and Eden. The name of the hotel was Lux Playa. I went with a friend and shared a room so we payed 50 euro each/night. It is also 5 mins walk from the beach. this hotel is clean and safe which is hard to find in Ibiza without paying lots of money.
Another option is to rent an apartment which you can find for the same price. Do this early, as the best ones obviously go first. i am going this summer and plan on renting an apt or if I get enough people, a villa.
Food isn't that expensive. there are a lot of tourist restaurants in San Antonio so I reccommend staying around Ibiza town to eat. What will you over is clubbing. Average price for club entrance is 30-40 euros on big nights. then once you get in small bottle of water = 10 euro, drink = 10 euro!!!
hope this helps.;) |

wow the two posts already gave me alot of information on where to stay etc..
When would be the best time to fly there? We are probally looking into staying for 1.5 weeks.
Some DJ's we want to see would be Armin Van Burren, DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold etc... So we would want to plan our trip around that.
aobut 10 days or so. |

either....
1)last week of june
because it's the cheapest time in the summer and the opening parties start at at amnesia etc then, so you'll be able to see the top jocks. it's also not too crowded, but still busy (you wont have to fight for sun chairs etc and will have enough personal space at the ibiza sunsets etc)
2)begining of august
peak time, peak weather, peak DJ schedule, peak prices. you get the best of everything but it can get a bit too crowded, a bit to expensive for the flights and accomodation, but you would be able to see all the top DJ events, parties etc.
personally i got with no.1 |

| prices get cheaper after august 25th so I think just after that is the best time to go. I went early july last time and some of the parties didnt start till august... not making that mistake this time |

| btw, if you dotn want to rent a vehicle- stay in the bay so you cna walk to the west end clubs. if you want to go to amnesia etc, you'll need to get a coach which takes 20 mins, but you normally get tha tincluded in the ticket price if you buy it from one of the pre-party places like coastline cafe (you also get to meet the like of tiesto & pvd who often go to these, and get to chill with them beforehand, watching the sunset) |

I think renting a car would be a great idea since we might be spending that much in taxis fares anyways.
We really wanted to hit up the major clubs... Privilege, Pacha, Amnesia etc, and ive been reading that the san antonio area would be the best place for us. |

im thinking i might go with number 2. Is the begining of august is when the closing parties happen?
Isnt the closing parties the best time?
Also what happens in the begining of august that makes it the peak time to go? |

but then all of the parties are over if i go that late. |

no, the parties finish in september.
i think youll be making a mistake with the car. unless you want to travel the whole island inc bora bora etc. everywhere is within a 20 min walking distance from san an bay, apart from some super clubs, which you wont be able to drive to anyway. might aswell use the free bus ride you get included with your ticket. just my opinion. |
