Those who know me will know that i am a biased deko-ze fan.
Since i can't sleep I figured I'd post a sort-of-review on the two times i saw him this new years weekend.
Comfort Zone
Incredible set. Such a damn shame that it was only an hour and a half long. It seemed that he had all the energy of a 5 hour mayhem set jam packed into those 1 and a half hours. HARD techish house like only deko-ze throws it down. I swear i couldnt feel my legs. It was awesome that they had the VIP area open cuz of the crowds at zone. The place was busy but ive seen it worse. If i were to rate this set it'd probably rank 2nd after the pride street party.
Cube
This is a new sunday night residency for deko-ze following up on his highly succesful Sunday nights @ Five. It was only the 2nd time Lauren and I were heading out on a sunday cuz of school and other the last few months so it was definately a pleasant treat. Now the last time we went to cube 2 weeks ago..it was freezing...remember that sunday?? -40 or something with windchill. So understandably the club wasnt that busy and felt more like a lounge. But this sunday was just crazy...Quite possibly the hottest club ive ever stepped inside..and this includes comfort zone. RAMMED!!! but the music was amazing. Alot more tribalish than his set @ The zone but by no means cheesy circuit house that is expected in an atmosphere like that. Highlight of the night had to be that lil scumfrog streak he went on...4 or 5 songs in a row were all scumfrog tracks or remixes...Cube isnt for everyone but it was easily the best sunday night party that lauren and myself have been too. The walk to the car sucked though :(..pants were soaked to the ankles with sweat and that made it rather chilly...

Deko-Ze is the coolest ... always coming late, and giving other DJs longer time to play. Such a wicked DJ and such humble and down2earth individual.
He's helped me out many times and it was an honour to have him at 1P 1YR Anniversary.
Deko-Ze & Mark Oliver are tied my books ... both are the of TO. |

Yeah totally agree here:D ...I went to CUBE about a month ago & Deko-ze was dropping some wicked house that I LUV:D ...Good tribal House & not that ty Circuit house...Deko-ze has NEVER NEVER NEVER disappointed me.I would have gone last Sunday but after partying 2 nites in a row:eyespop: I was too tired.I'm sure CUBE will give 5ive a run for their money too:tongue2 |

de-Ko-Ze (mike) Rocks!!! he is the best at being a friend as well as a KICK ass DJ!!!!

| Didn't goto the Cube event but the 1.5 hrs of Deko-zee on New yrs day was WELL worth the wait....Holy e , he was on fire and was bouncing all over the DJ booth.....Music was great and the crowd bearable.....Had a blast!! |

Mark Oliver and Deko-Ze own in Toronto:happy2: :D Addy will own too one day and reminded me of a younger Mark Oliver on Saturday night as he was playing much harder then expected and threw in some darkish tribal stuff as well:whip: :D Deko-Ze is always pure energy when he spins and you can't sit down and rest for too long because his stuff makes you jump back up not too long after:whip:

I have seen Deko-Ze play for many years now, and all I can say is that he is the most energetic dj in Toronto. By FAR!
If you ever get to watch what he's doing on the mixer up close, you'll see nothing but amazing trickery. He's very confident of what he's doing, and that is an inspiration to the up and coming talent.
Much respect goes out to what is probably Canada's hardest working DJ.

| I agree. Dekoze never disappoints and is a fantastic DJ. Definitley number one in my books. He also is without a doubt one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. Not only does he make me wanna move ...he never fails to make me smile whether it be in conversation or just watching hi behind the decks as he clearly LOVEs what he does. I heart Dekoze. |

Deko-Ze has got to be one of the hardest working DJ's in Canada easily and his residency and gig schedule is nuts:eek: Deko-Ze is a busy guy- www.dekoze.com/residencies.htm
This week Deko-Ze and his Persian buddy Addy will be kicking my ass at THE GUVERNMENT (Orange Room) on Thursday and possibly on Sunday at COMFORT ZONE as well:whip: :eek: |
