I have been wondering something about Tiesto lately. In the past, years 2002-2005, Tiesto always had sets that were being played all over the net, on a monthly basis. In 2006 there are hardly any sets released by him anymore. It seems PVD took Tiesto's place in terms of releasing his sets to the internet crowd (look @ PVD's sets from June to Augusts of this year, at least 10 on the net). Does anyone know why? |
so vote for him to become nr1 again and enjoy much more sets of him next year :tongue2 |

my guess, based on things he's said, is that he doesn't like the immediate tracklisting of his playlists and availablity of his sets, as it's detrimental to the tunes -- both in terms of getting played out too soon and with regard to p2p rips. there are some other djs like this, but tiesto and his camp have gone way overboard lately and take their sets far too seriously.
[this trend, by the way, started in the end of 2004] |

Hello guys. I would like to request the tracklists for the 3 Tiësto concerts that I've had the pleasure to assist.
October 2005 - Monterrey, México
November 2005 - Chicago, Illinois, USA
May 2005 - Chicago, Illionois, USA
I hope you can help me find them. I would really appreciate it! |

online sets help many of us hear what direction djs are headed towards and if you live in a place where djs NEVER come, it keeps them names fresh in your mind. IMO tijs need to calm down and release more sets than the ones he has on his website. |

I think we all share that opinion, but it ain't gonna happen - for the valid reasons Tijs wants to keep his Tour & his tried & tested playlist remotely 'fresh' for his audience when compared to how quickly after an ASOT the tunes are available as setrips on P2P. |

I know and it all makes sense, but I can still hope. |

that's the portion of Tiesto's set that broadcast. If he spun longer, it wasn't aired.
tracks in your setrip before dibaba and after saltwater were not spun by tiesto. |

6th track sounds very similar to DJ Quicksilver's bassdrum line in Timerider, Escape To Paradise. Those track were released exactly in 1998, so i guess it's some of DJ Quicksilver remixes. If you have opportunity to check them all from 1998, please do it!
These are what i found on Discogs.com:
Future Breeze - Another Day (DJ Quicksilver Remix)
U.S.U.R.A. - Trance Emotions (DJ Quicksilver Mix)
Watergate - Mull Of Kintyre (DJ Quicksilver Remix)
Absolom - Secret (DJ Quicksilver Remix)
Kadoc - Rock The Bells (DJ Quicksilver Remix)
Plastix - Brr-Babba (DJ Quicksilver Mix)
Konijn, maybe you will take care about that archive? Asperge even can't aswer on my PMs! |
