by the looks of it, more & more half-decent producers will slowly but surely incline towards the dreaded McProg and fluff Anjuna Trance..with hope, others will continue to grace us with some quality edm.

In 2004, Electro was definitely big. Also important was American Progresssive or McProg.

i hope more of those great electro house tunes come out...they are great to listen to...

really i think the best would be a combination of all genres...sticking to just trance is boring...sticking to just prog is boring...sticking to just any genre is boring...dj's need to mix it up more...

That's what Sasha is doing now. You can hear a lot of genres being mixed up in his sets lately.

No. But a lot of people refer to it by American Prog because it's a sound pioneered by Markus.

Please refer to the McProgressive thread cause this discussion has taken place in the past.

i'd like to hear more of the trouse sound (trippy/tribal/house) that dekay is pushing with a bigger influence from tribal.

on the cheese side : McProg of course

on the good side : Iberican House

Progressive and progressive based trance.
It's all gonna be about the prog.

I think hardtrance will fade away even more, unfortunately...:(
And the trance-revolution will at least get postponed for a couple of years...

well that was in rather poor taste wasnt it?

anyways techno will be pretty big this year. Not chart wise as it will always be too underground for that but i think it will gain in popularity within the EDM scene.

Also Psy seems to be growing in support all the time so possibly that will continue too.
