| Sorry to hear that....I am in the same boat (sorta) I just started a new job and don't get insurance for another month and a half. My last job had a $275 deductable I had to pay BEFORE they covered anything and they didn't cover my yearly exam. So I am like great, my knee hurts, which is making my foot hurt and there ain't I can do about it |

its like a deductible AFTER u get money taken out of ur paycheck right?! that fukin SUX...thats like my first job, i had to pay $300 before anything...its like ur probably better OFF going with an independent health plan than the one from ur company, esp. IF u are working for a small company. right now i work for a small company and i have a feeling that i may be paying a LOT for insurance even if i do it through them...bigger companies have better plans with better coverage
all these people that still are covered under your parents' health plans, take ADVANTAGE and go get checked out/get necessary surgery whatever. u just DON't APPRECIATE how accessible it is until its gone... |

| Lyss, make sure you eat protein and sugar before you make a trip home. Your blood sugar was probably low. I have a problem with fainting (very inopportunte) and I was told that even one fainting spell is a sign of low blood sugar... happened to my mom once too, and she ate 2 chocolate bars and was fine. The key is also to eat enough protein, that helps too. Hope you feel better! |

| that completely sucks! any company that makes you go 6 months without insurance is a hole...what would happen if you had young children? Complain about the illness at work and try to get workers comp. |
