Not to mention the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake situation, as well as the more recent T.O./Desperate Housewifes fiasco.
Ugh...and just to think that this year's Super Bowl halftime show will be consisting of Paul McCartney. No disrespect to the legend, but, let's face it: the NFL's now aiming for an even MORE family-oriented feel to it. Yes, I am talking about a family-oriented event that falls smack dab in the middle of a gametime's hour worth of hard-hitting violence. :p But as they say in the Conan the Barbarian movies: "But that is another story...."
........Or it's something similar to that anyway......

The superbowl reminds me of those big budget movies awash in money, hype, and bad taste. Can't we just enjoy the game for what it is instead of making it into a circus act? |

yerrr they are gonna watch the game no matter what!! They should throw in thrash metal bands at halftime; bands like Slayer, Meshuggah & Sepultura. See, they will never have the lipsynching problem:- They dont sing full stop; they yell & scream!

man I dont even think Metallica has ever done a halftime show
as for Ashlee, meh, hopefully this was her realization that she just isnt cut out to perform.Whoever booked her should be fired as well, what makes them think ashlee is gonna get cheers from some drunken college guys, that would only happen if she tore of her clothes or somethin.I dont think shes hot though.

Yeah...watched the game yesterday...went over to ESPN for halftime...tuned back in thinking it would be second half time and it was Clay...who sounded fine...then Ashlee...who sounded absolutely horrible...When will people get a freaking clue and figure out that 99% of these pop singers have no talent what-so-ever. Thank goodness the crowd booed her ass off the stage, and I hope the ABC execs that get paid six-seven figures to find such lame talent, and "great" coin toss flippers like Shaq (whoopdie freakin doo) and pay them K's to show up get fired for that crap... Wait, what am I thinkin'....the execs will get bonuses and a promotion.

Too bad the football game was pretty crummy too....being a blowout and all. My votes for best bowl games this year go to Louiville v. Boise St. and honorable mention to the Rose Bowl (yeah it was probably the best....but not having the normal big ten v. pac ten match up kinda ticked me off) |
