Finally got my account activated today :happy2:

I'm buying some headphones soon and I've been lookin at pairs all week.

The Sony 700s are a no, they break, they suck period

The Pioneer 1ks looked good until I found out they broke just as much so no.

I have it down to the Sennheiser HD25 but then I found the Technics. I can't find any reviews or opinions on them so if someone here owns a pair, please tell me how good they're sound quality is. I know they wont break since they're built like a tank (4.5 lbs!)so I just need to know if they sound good.

Who says the hdj1000 breaks? I have a pair that I haven't been very gentle with and they're still fine.

Freak went through like 10 pairs or something.

Anyways, those new tech phones are not very good from what I hear. They have poor sound, and poor isolation. I think they are more solid than the 700s though, but they weigh a bunch as a result.

Read this review please.

are you people like having anal sex with your headphones or something that they break every now and then :thepirate jeeze.

Yeah, I've read that review. But I've seen others saying the sound and isolation is good, but it's to mixed for me to believe anything so I want to get more impressions from people who use them. If only the Pioneers didn't break so much they'd be perfect for me.
Freak
Looked at these
Was just about to buy one of the first pairs (werent available in the uk so was going to import some fromt he states)
....

Then i saw the weight!!!! 4.5 lbs!!!!!! Far Far too much. HDJ1000s arent exactly light, and 4 and a half times that is just too much.

It is a well known manufacturing flaw. First batch were awesome- new ones are e.
Off the record, i asked a pioneer uk customer services guy how many returns they are getting .
He said per 100 pairs they are getting over 75 pairs replaced under warranty within the first year.

I reckon its one enourmous tax dodge myself- pity, as they sound awesome and i was very very happy with mine(well the first pair that lasted a huge 6 months).
Anyway- the techs
They sound good, better than the DJ1210s, look great and so far i have heard they are reliable.
Email pete tong and ask him- he switched to them ages ago
