| Great movie -- highly stylized, haunting musical score, strong performances, disturbing yet poignant message and a superbly directed and well crafted film. Definate must see if you enjoy good cinema. |

Not a movie you can digest fully the first time (at least i couldn't) Like Requiem, it's got a haunting atmosphere which will leave you thinking about it long after the movie is over. I'd check online for some fan groups because there are a lot of layers to the movie, and quite a few abstract topics that are touched upon. Not the average run of the mill flick...but ultimately a rewarding one, if you are the cerebral type.

i kinda disagree - not to be mean or anything - but i think GARDEN STATE is the best movie of all time - I think requim for a dream is a little sktch and i own both and have scene both - i agree that it covers a lot of topics NEVER scene really b4 in other films, but GARDEN state has the top of my list - anyone wanna come by and watch it with ME>??;) |

I'm with you, tho it was easier to digest the 2nd time around, when you're not really paying attention to the TV. :p
I hear good things about Garden State. Wish I'd known u were gonna rent Donnie Darko, Caroline- I have it on DVD. |
