I was very happy they kicked the crap out of Oklahoma.
We should have had it all to ourselves 2 years in a row, but it shows what a dynasty they are building in USC. |

Personally, I've been a Trojan fan since about 1995. I was here in the late 90's and early 2000's when the team blew. Every ESPN anchor and sports "Insider" I heard leading up to this game gave #1, and 12-0 USC no chance against the "mighty" Big-12 Oklahoma Sooners. Now, I put up with A LOT of crap from OU fans in the weeks leading up to this game. Pac-10 sucks, overrated, etc. etc....After the waxing SC gave them, I saw a few of those same fans: But I didn't say anything. I didn't taunt or heckle. The pained expressions and look in their face of complete and total embarassment was enought for me. I walked by a few, smiled....and walked on.
I LOVE it when fans do their talking before a game, and have to live with (and EAT) it afterwards. Problem: With USC now winning 33 of 34 games, (the one loss an OT loss @ Cal) whoever finally beats us will talk a lot of trash and try to rub it in our faces. True, it will be an accomplishment, but I'm used to it. I'm a Lakers fan too. When the Championships start rolling in, the target on your back gets bigger and bigger, even as just a fan. It's fun to hate the winners. Quick note: USC's last THREE losses have been by a COMBINED total of 13 points!!! Enjoy this right now Trojan fans, we're on the top of the mountain!!! |
