Importing WAV into FL

I have FL Studio 4
My problem, is that i cannot get a particular wav file to import and play, or infact, make any sound inside FL Studio. Heres whats going on...
My friend and i are trying to set up a mix, and for some unknown reason he insists on sending me an 11mb .aif file containing the guitars that he has recorded. This isnt a whole lot of use, so i convert it into a .wav file. The .wav will play nicely in Winamp, as does the .aif. But, it just wont do anything in FL. I tried converting it once again into MP3, no luck. The .wav filesize is 11mb, and is just over a minute long.
Perhaps i am doing somthing wrong, or is this file just too big? |

| are your waves pretty standard? fruity fails to read some waves that are too high quality from what i've found. i would just go with 16bit, 44100hz if you are not using that already. hope that helps. |

import into soundforge or another wave editing program then save to 16bit 44100hz stereo pcm, your standard ms wave file

| I dont get it, one converter i tried said it was invalid. Another one converted it fine. What i did was confert it to MP3 and back to WAV, then it worked. i dont understand the problem. My friend does have a Mac though. |
