i love the sounds in this. everything is so clear and precise. The bass is amazing, so unbelievably driving. should be onto a winner here matey ;)
Mr.Mystery
The synth sounds very softwarey and I don't think the bassline fits at all. The percs are also very thin.

Don't like this at all. Sorry :(

Nice flat lead, you here that more often these days. Bass is a bit too loud on my speakers i guess, man it's booming.

You're working on this right, cause the percs can be done better and some transition work and fx would be nice. It's still sounding a bit too dry.

Nice work, good luck finishing this :D

the percs on this sample are a bit thin i agree

everybody else has said how much they like the bass apart from it being too loud - no monitors u see lol

about the synth, i dunno whether to congratulate myself on your interpretation on making a £1500 synth sound like software

will get some more fx stuck in there :)

Well you know what I mean - more like "preset-ish" than softwareish. I guess it's because both the bass and the lead are so "wide" in sound that they don't blend in very well with each other, but they sound like they're just playing on top of each other... if that makes sense.

i think it's probably coz the bass is rather loud lol

Didn't sound that loud with the monitors, didn't check with the headphones though.

I don't know, maybe it's just not my field to comment anyway since this kind of music doesn't really appeal to me overall...

Edit:

The metallic synth coming in towards the end is pretty mint, tho.

Luke, you already know I hate this! :p

i was hoping you would reply :D

don't really like the melody. main synth is good. kick is too sharp, needs to be deeper. percs are too simple.

needs some more work.

Had to reply here Luke!!

I remember the bashing you gave me for my preset-ish sounding synth in my Out of The Blue remix! :stongue:
Main melody is nice but maybe a wee bit bland.
As a bassline, I love it, but I dont think it fits this song. Maybe use the bassline in another tune, with darker tones than this.
