Do The following:

- Create a NEW PROJECT, choose empty, and specify a folder to it.
- Click on the PROJECT menu, ADD TRACK -> MIDI.
- On the new created track, choose the PENCIL icon (draw).
- Click and Drag it on the start of the track, to define an midi notes area.
- Click with the right button on the new created area, go to the MIDI submenu and choose on of the following ways to create midi notes: Key, Score or Drum Editor (choose key to open the piano roll).
- Now put some notes there, and close the piano roll window.
- Now go to the DEVICES menu, and select VST INSTRUMENTS.
- On the 1st slot put your desired VST.
- Click on the MIDI track you've just created (where there's an midi icon with a number 1 on the right side).
- The informations about your channel will be on the 1st column of your project.
- Click on the OUT drop down menu and choose your VST.
- Choose an patch on the drop down above the MAP.
- Play the song and the notes you create will be played on the VST.

This steps are for any VST, I hope it can help you.
