Virus is sexy, no doubt. I've owned a Virus Rack Classic and the Virus|Powercore. I sold the Rack Classic to buy the Powercore and sold the Powercore to get a JP-8000 :)

But now I want my Virus back.. so I may buy another Rack Classic if I can get a good deal.

Wasn't the guitar-ish lead for seven cities done on a Virus? Or was it a nord lead? :conf:

Keep your panties on... a source who happens to wonder into "access virus kitchen" whispered in my ear that the dish, otherwise known as Virus TI will be delayed and not available until sometime in February.... Apparently the OS is not fully completed as it stands right now. I also saw a new Virus TI (desktop edition) in person today - a nice piece indeed but right now it's an empty shell. The OS just became available recently and does not have all the features implemented yet. Expect your version 1.0 to be missing some of the features that were promissed due to it being incomplete. Furthermore, I'd say that by the time all the bugs are squared away in new TI, you're looking at some time towards the end of this year (that's my guess, based on some of the info I got today.)

Now, some good news: 1. It appears that Virus may have bought out Waldorf OS code and parts of it will be integrated as part of Virus TI line. Some of the features you'll have are wavetable plus the "old" style standard synthesis. Also, I was toldthat the kC version will now be 76 keys!!! :D - which is fantastic!

Formal announcement will be made at NAMM show next week.

So, appreciate your Virus C... for now :D

That's alright, gives me more time to save money! =P In fact it may coincide perfectly with my income tax return, ehhe.

I got my first chance to play with a C over the holidays, and damn, I was truly impressed. Within 15 minutes I was making patches that sounded ready to be thrown into a track. It will be very nice to have this sort of power at my fingertips on a regular basis, hehehe.
