BTW, I can't believe you guys havn't mentioned MEGAMAN.:eyes:
Some of the songs are really good in that game, but probably don't fall in the exact category of "trance", but do fall in dance.
Also, Ridge Racer 5 on PS2 has house and techno tunes. |

Original Castlevania has some potential for some remixes. Maybe the third level.
If anyone remembers the game Maniac Mansion, a few things from that game could be excellent as well.
Im sure people already mentioned Megaman, several of which have been remixed.
Why not Double Dragon?

| Since I first heard it, I've thought Estuera - Tales from the South sounds like it came from a video game. Not that it's from one, but the melody especially sounds like it could have come from a Nintendo game with the way it was produced. Nevertheless a good track. |

| OH!!!!!!!!!!! The Oil Ocean Stage on Sonic 2 would be a real good Prog trance tune!!!!!!!!!! i wouldn't mind rmxing that! and some other sonic tunes would be good too. |

the music in wipeout 3 on ps1 (i think), was in awsome! had stuff like>
sasha - feisar
sasha - xpander
pau van dyk - avenue
so futuristic and cool :cool:
Also, altho its not full on trance, the ambient soundtrack all the way thru deus ex 1 (on playstation anyway), was in awsome!!! |

My favorite so far has been the music in metroid prime when in phendrana drifts.
If you want it IM me (RIPassion07). I remixed it a while back, but it still has a lot more potential. If you liked Marc vision - Timegate from ISOS 1 you will LOVE this track.

Yea i love that BGM too.. in fact i love all the songs from Metroid Prime 2 Echoes (MP2E), Metroid ZeroMission, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime.
"Sector 1 (SRX) & Fighting Nightmare Sector 5 (ARC)" of Metroid Fusion and "The Hive where you found the Annihilator Beam" Of MP2E are my personal fravoritez.
They Don't really sound trance to me. It's more to Dark Ambient. |

Wow. Has anyone here heard of Overclocked? Mostly amateur but there are some diamonds in the rough.
As for trance in games, the old Need For Speed titles used to have it; not so sure about current ones, though, as I haven't kept up on that series.
The Robotron remake for PSX had some slammin' hard German techno throughout.
And, yeah, what thread of this type can go on without more mention of the WipEout series? Classic! |

I put the 'trance' in quotes for the same reason you guys are whining that those tracks aren't trance :p
I forgot about megaman... man, megaman 3 on NES had a GOOD soundtrack.
Hybrid - Finished Symphony is actually in SSX1 on PS2. (on the "unknown" level). That's actually the track that got me into trance... hearing it in that game... I remember searched finished symphony in Kazaa and going from there years ago :P |
