it buggered up the other day writing a data disk, whole computer locked up, did a hard restart and it took about an hour to settle down after that
it takes forever to recognise any kind of cd put in the drive, as in i've had a blank cd in for over 30 mins and it still loads, put nfsu in it aswell, 30 mins and still no joy
both the hd + cd lights are on constant. t'aint fun and i need to backup asap
any ideas plz

| firsty i would disable auto detect / auto run check you ini settings, look on google how to do this. when u insert a blank cd into a cdr/w windoze trys to detect the data straight away, if its blank then it should recongnise this if not then its gonna hang for ages and probabily you wont be able to eject. check for aspi in control processes end task these , i had a Sony CD/RW which was brand new a few month ago and it was total crap it had 48 write but anything over 16x it crashes. |
