I remember a post a while back (way too lazy to search!) asking about that club with the 3 symbol at university & alafaya were UC7 used to be.
Well, I ended up checking it out last night out of shear randomness - ran in to a friend in the parking lot who was hanging out there. To my surprise they weren't playing hip hop, they were playing EDM! OK, so it wasnt trance, it wasn't even house, it was some kinda breaks. Not my favorite, but compared to -hop it sounded pretty good. The club has a pretty nice setup too.
Just thought I'd pass this on, maybe we can talk to management and get another TA night like at Alpha last year.

| lol james, i was supposed to go there last night too... it was my roommates' birthday and thats where everyone was going. I ended up getting out of work too late, but yea my (non -edm listening) friends who went were like "yea RACH,THEY WERE PLAYING "TECHNO", you would have liked it" loololllll I heard it was really nice inside.. may have to check it out one random night, does anyone have anymore info on it? |

I've been to the place about a handful of times... and only once did i hear breakbeat... and not anything that good either... the rest of the times it was basic mainstream stuff...
heres a good link for ppl looking for more info on em. Give info on their formats for each night too!

James, what day of the week it was. I have been there on Tuesday. They played only hip-hop and the club was literally empty. The DJ booth setup is really dumb. Inside the former ticket booth facing the entrance to the right? WTF?
It is really nice inside though. They managed to achieve that upscale feeling. They are still constructing the other sections of it (where movie display rooms used to be). From what I hear, they play EDM on Saturdays. 21+ only though. Promotion for them is a must. Barely anyone knows about them. To be honest though, I don't seem to care much though, since it is just another top 40/hip-hop/ music club. |
