alot of people do. olly perris uses TS404 alot. its actually a pretty amazing acid machine and it sounds creamier and smoother than audiorealism bassline. it doesnt quite get the grit right but its got a fully fledged envelope and another oscillator. love it.

glazby uses wasp alot. and half the people over at KVR now use sytrus. sytrus is pretty sick although i find it weird to program.

i dont particularly like pluck! or 3osc. theres just something very limited about both. same with boo bass although run it through a fast dist plugin with the mid range down. on the fast dist max out the threshold, max out the pre amp set the distortion type to b. mix on full and post amp to about 9 o clock. pile on another fast dist if you like - i just added another one with max pre, threshold, mix and post amp about 12 o clock on distortion type a - sounds even fatter. go to the FUNC menu and enable the arpeggiator. theres no rules for this. set the arp down. time to about 1.14 (just past 2 o clock) with the gate around 60% (1 o clock). finally click on the slide. hold down the note on c4 - virus bassline! it sounds pretty fat considering you can do it in about 30 seconds and it costs nothing. i reckon it can also be made to sound even better with more attention, post processing (compression in particular) and maybe a tridirt distortion type to get more crunch out of it.

use your imagination! you'll be surprised what you can do with internal fruity stuff. you will also be surprised how much you learn by using only internal fruity synths for a couple of weeks. i am now tempted to try and write a generic trancer using only internal fruity plugs. we should all give it a shot and post the results in a companion thread!

this is really a good idea!!! why dont u start a new thread with some kind of contest who gets the best trance track out ou fruity internal plugins... i think one of the rules should be that you have to post the flp file too (otherwise it could be other plugs)...

i'm in!! already started a project

Quote from Holden's website :
quote:

The stuff everyone is really interested in begins aged 19, with a track called “Horizons”. Written during his summer holidays from his maths degree at Oxford University on a £500 PC and a piece of revolutionary music software called Buzz (a freeware internet download), this crossover anthem of the summer of 1999 propelled young James and his bedroom set-up into the top flight of dance music production. The rest, as they say, is history.

Respect ! :wtf:

Brilliant thread my friends! :)
This is a great weapon in the FL vs Reason war! :tongue2:

I can add myself to this list (even though not famous, yet...).
James Wood a.k.a. wandii is an upcoming artist, and he uses FL.
I see all the others one I could've mentioned has been listed. Keep on listing guys.
