Ok I used to workout at this Health Club by my house back from 1997 & my membership wore out in late 2001. I was a regular member so my membership was only $300 a year, while new members were $400 a year.its a great gym & alot cheaper than Bally's. The past 3 years ive been using my weights at home & when that happens I work out less & more sparatic. So I fugured for the new year i'd get a new membership at my old Health Club. I saw that the name changed & they have new ownership & normally when that happens they jack up the membership rates. So im expecting to walk in there & pay $400-$500 for a year membership. Well today I finally go in & they show me around & explain how the new owners remodeled the place. So finally at the end of the tour of the gym I ask the manager how much is this gonna cost me. He told me $7.50 a month. I was like WTF are you kidding. Nope only 7.50 a month with a $49 start up fee. I was tickeled by the amount of money I thought I was gonna have to pay. It came out to $99 for a whole year. Back in 98 when I originally was a member if you payed monthly it was $50 a month. Now I get a whole year cheaper then 2 months of a membership before. Also next month they are getting tanning beds & only charging $5 a month for unlimited tanning. I was like damn, I pay $7 a session now.
Well enough of that. Im just happy on the extra money in my pocket that I thought I would have to spend & didnt. What do you all pay for Health Club memberships.? |

| I paid 900 and something for a 3-year pre-paid membership to all 24 Hour Fitness Clubs. I have to pay $49/year from now on. |

Im wondering the same thing. They also have it in the contract that they will not raise my fee for at least 3 years. So its only $7.50 a month for at least 3 years.:eyes: |

Ahhh young padiwan...you have stumbled across a "front" to one of these things behind the doors of the front desk:
A) an asian prostitution ring
B) a drug import/export ring
C) Russia/Chinese/other Mafia front
D) Massage and Tanning facility with "the works" (sex) from the employees
E) Sweatshop
hehe I only say this because of a couple places that were busted up out here the last couple years. Places of business that were amazingly inexpensive, because the real money was behind the closed doors in the back.
Damn that Chinese buffet had great food for $5 ... and now it's gone :( :(:(
Have fun "working out" while itlasts :D :tongue3 :tongue3 :thepirateds
pps: oh...we pay $25 a month to all 24/hr fitness through our company account. |
