I also think that the most prog.-based dj's are far much more skilled than Tiesto could ever be. But there are other things that count nowadays in voting, nog only skills, because when that was the matter, Tiesto wouldn't even be in the top 20. Although Tiesto earned my respect. |

yeah indeed, People should be over that tiesto-bashing-bandwagon. Isnīt there someone else to bash?
Anyway, tiesto never mixed perfectly. And mixing skill isnīt that important, 90% of the crowd never notice it. Asfor building up his set and droping the right track at the right moment tiesto is king! |

That is exactly how I see it. Live performance means more to me then how well a cd or mix is put together. And although I have never seen him live myself, I have seen videos and heard many many sets and I have to say that yes he does seem to drop the right tracks at the right time. He fills the crowd with energy and he puts people on the dance floor. That is all that should matter.
When I come here I notice that too many people here feel like that since they have been either posting here longer then others or think they have been listening to trance longer, they have an obligation to openly show it to make themselves look or feel better. Just listen to the music you enjoy, discuss it and be done with it. But please dont come on the forum and just down right say Tiesto sucks and doesnt deserve it when he can easily pack a stadium of 25,000+ people and give them a show they will never forget.
And thats all I have to say about that. |

i have been listening and playing music all my life, i got an a in my music gcse im predicted a ditinction in my national diploma in music technology whihc is worth three A levels.
and music is really about not slating people not because the popular if you dont enjoy the music dont listen to it. you sound like a goth, whenever you talk about edm. |

I couldn't agree more. Becoming the most popular DJ in the world takes more than just marketing.
And why do people keep going on about status and post counts? It drives me f*cking insane.
Someone that has been in the EDM scene since 1998 and has registered yesterday is called a n00b, while people who have been into EDM for only one year and have earned their custom status by making completely useless posts think they are God or 'King of the boards' or something.
Status and post counts mean nothing IMO. Sensible and serious posts are worth a lot more if you ask me. |

tiesto definetly rocked it when i saw him. all the tunes at the right moments. the place was packed and there was an excitement that i believe
only tiesto could bring. he is always interacting smiling, putting his hands in the air on breakdowns throwning cds and vinyl into the crowd. he jumps around lookin like a child on christmas day. |
