Ive got a audigy soundcard in my pc
but it doesnt have a line in on it so what wire do i need to plug into the sound card instead of a rca to record a mix with?
Thanks

Personally, I use a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum. I highly recommend it...I believe SB is currently offering the Audigy2 or soemthing, but same deal. It has digital inputs and outputs, mic in, headphone in, midi in/out, firewire, rca in. You have to get hte platinum to get all this.

I'm sure there are other ways as well.

EDIT: I notice you already ahve the regular audigy..if you don't want to buy the platinum, I think you should find your instruction manual or download it online...because I'm pretty sure you have a line in.

right yeah ur sort of correct ive looked at a manual
and it does have a line in jack but its just for one connection for a wire to go into and not the usual red and white wire that a line in has.
I must need some sort of converter to make the rca cord into one wire so i can plug it in the back of the sound card.
Does anyone know what converter i need?

Go to radio shack and get a 2 line rca to stereo 1/8 inch headphone jack adapter.

in the UK, use www.cybermarket.co.uk

you need one of these adapters:
