The last minute of WHFS can be heard here (Submitted by Mike Sica): http://www.hfstival.com/elzol.mp3
Now I'm really sad. The last song they played was Jeff Buckley's "Last Goodbye." I won that CD (Grace) on their Top 11 at 11, back in 1994 :( :( :( |

Wow. What an end of an era. I grew up listening to HFS. I still remember the first time they played Nirvana, back in '91 (?) when I was in high school.
& the 10 o'clock News, where Gina Crash sang over the Fox trailer..."10 O'clock News...ten oclock news..." |

i didnt even hear about this till I listened to WTOP news. Was there anything saying they were going to go Spanish, or did they just do it last minute?

| Zoltar was original, let me tell you all. He had a show on HFS before Gina Crash's Transmission. It was "The mutanted dance party" from 1994-1997 on WHFS. Rememeber, he played Jam and Spoon-Right in the night before anyone else did. No flame please |

LOL, but I wasn't joking. :D
Anyway, I haven't listened to HFS in a long time due to the fact that their programming had been in decline for many years - and I really don't listen to the radio anyway.
I'm down because HFStival is one of the only mainstream events in the States that incorporates electronica acts - and now it's probably gone. :(

| Maybe Max remember that lovely afternoon, when Dave Ralph owned the Buzz tent. I met a lot of nice people during those event. Now I wonder, who is going to pick up after WHFS. DC101? A Clear Channel Station, ummmmmmm nope! |
