in the program they had NHS heroin centres to stop the addictive drug users from crime/begging by prescribing the drug in a special centre.
it's all about everything thats interlinked. stuff like pro's and cons, like the cons being pharmaceutical companies pouring research into drugs or being able to put tax on them and a huge reducing in drug related crime. |

| mdma... ive never seen anyone so obsessed with drugs... no wonder you study pharmacology. Anyway I think some drugs should be kept legal but under control, but others shouldnt even exist. |

haha i was in leicester once and this scab came upto my mate giving him all this "ive missed the bus can u lend me some money so i can get the nxt one please" blah blah and he said off.
nxt day my mate went alone to leicester and the same person came up with the same story, and he got the same reply.
nxt day it happened again, and my mate goes "thats the 3rd in 3 days uve missed this bus", and he just went "oh", and slowly slid away.

Haha! I remember this. There were two people that used to do it in the same place around leicester train station. Some black guy and this woman. They used to harrass me every day either on the way or way back from work lol "can i have a quid? Ive lost my money and need to get a train home" or something along those lines lol |

| I think they should reclassify the drugs into more realistic classes to start with. Moreover, there are both good and bad points if drugs are made legal or left illegal. It’s a no win situation, and there’s nothing you can do to make everything about the whole situation good. |

| Yeah the current classification of drugs is ing ridiculous |

they dont classify drugs right way its stupid how they do it.
Its not even done on how dangerous they r to take which seems daft to me |

the current drug classification is based on whether a drug has any therapeutic use in medicine.
Cannabis is being investigated into many things such as pain killing, glaucoma, diet suppresion etc, hence its declassification to "C" but it will probably become decriminalised when a THC based medicine is out.
MDMA is being investigated by the FDA of the US in psychological treatments. If the trials are successful, and a medicine can be gained from it, MDMA will HAVE to be reclassified.
etc
etc
etc |

thats stupid though cose if somethings class A the general public think oh its class A that must mean its dangerous and kills loads of people.
But in reality something like MDMA kills hardly anyone u should be more worried about getting mugged or something imo MDMA should be at least Class B there no way its as dangerous as heroin or crack. |

thats exactly why the current classification is a bit buggered ;)
MDMA has no shown therapeutic use atm, which is unfortunately why it is Class A. There is going to be a reshuffle which will see Shrooms adn the like being classified as Class A because it has no therapeutic use.
Yet shrooms are not dangerous in themselves. I don't remember any documented cases of a person actually dying from psilocybin. (i don't count deaths of people who died under the influence, i.e they ran off a cliff cos they thought they were a bird) And they;ve been "legal"
its such a crap policy
So if MDMA has a therapeutic use, it will be downgraded. But for now, it is there. |
