hey everyone, i will be in the gold coast during mid-feb, anyone up there or in the surrounding area that are willing to show us around? :)
just want to have a blast up there

| dude i just got back from the gold coast. i thought the nite-life sucked ass, everything closed early. no decent mid-week clubs. dead cane toad on the roads. totally not the highlight, but the food makes up for it. oh god the food. *drools on my boner* |

Ok. So the Gold Coast isn't Sydney or Melbourne, but it does *ok*. Did you check out the Quest, Platinum, or Ambassee night clubs?
I bet you went to all the "top 40 and r&b clubs" which would explain it all.
The best clubs are usually tucked away, and attract a select crowd which is good.
Next time go to the valley in Brisbane, there is a MINT of quality clubs there, with a diverse range of music.

yeh eff mate, i didn't expect a melb or syd type scene. but then again i didnt go up there for the nightlife. fortitude valley's in brisbane isnt it? thats i dunno maybe an hour+ drive. would love to have gone but just too far from gold coast (or coolongatta where i was a further 30 mins away). and i like top40/rnb.
anywho dont let me be a party pooper. have fun jolz no matter what you do!!! |

i think i was near fortitude valley when i stayed there for nye. a friend's apartment in new farm? i dunno hehe...

probably just me but I find the coast boring as bat.
(Though living living across the road from a beach for 15 years probably contributed to my disliking of coastal areas) :p |
