Aah, Faithless...:)
Sorry, I can't say this is finished. What I CAN say, is that this remix is unique in its sounds & style! I like what you did on the breakdown, everything comes together in a beautiful way. But when the melody comes in, it just sounds too monotonous... It needs an extra melodic layer. The intro is less interesting than the rest, IMO. It needs more things to keep people interested before they lose focus. The drums could probably also need extra percussion, IMO

i'm now thinking of taking the lead out of that main section, and replacing with some arp styleee something
or lowering the leads volume and adding the arp..

Yes, THIS is what I missed in the intro! At the breakdown, there's a low bass-tone that's still a bit too 'far' away, IMO. I like what you did on the melody, it sure gave the track more energy! The bass-programming is very good in this one.
The only thing I advise you to do, is slowly bring back the brightness in the main melody-synth when the track comes to its ending. You might want to bring up/down that brightness more often in that melody;) |

Nice, the 2nd one is alot better than the first.
The first sounded a bit weak for insomnia but now you have fixed that. One thing I would say is make the melody a bit louder but not to make it sound out of place. (dunno how to explain it better)
I'd love someone to do a full on tech mix of this it would be awesome.
EDIT: Forogt to say well done for not using the vocals much better without em imo |
