In Blackrock Mountain, at the bottom of the chains, is the Instance entrance for Blackrock Depths (BRD), inside that instance near the end, theres another instance portal that is Raid only (40 people are suppose to raid), that is the Molten Core, a third tier Raid Instance, that is EXTREMELY hard. Onyxia is supposed to be a Tier 2 Raid Instance, and a step under Molten Core. But regardless we are going for the gusto along with many others from other servers in attempts to take down the bosses of the instance. Took us like 7 hours and we killed the two main bosses, and had many wipes which included two repair breaks. |

is pvp annoying or is it nice |
Level cap is 60. But it's on a very balanced scale, so you will take a bit of time to get to that level. It doesn't seem like it's so much about having one, uber-ultimate extreme template character that can solo the entire game - not by any means. It's a game about teamwork when you get to the harder (read: cool) parts towards the "end" of the game.
Servers depend on your preference - some are more crowded than others (it will tell you at startup when you're first joining which servers are high in population and which are low) and also your play style. There are PvP servers (PvP is always on - be aware), Normal Servers (PvP is off by default, but you can turn it on and fight the other faction if you so desire (and if they turn it on as well)) and there is Role-playing server. Not sure on RP servers' PvP type, but it's supposed to be designed for people who don't like others chatting about RL in town. lol. Utlimately you'd probably be hanging out with gothic-oriented people who like cosplay and reading/writing Fanfics. I stay away from those servers. :p
PvP is great fun! You get in large groups with members of your faction called 'raids' and you go and storm a town! Kill the guards, kill those who wish to defend their town, etc... There is also 1-on-1 PvP against your own faction members if you wish, called 'duels' - nobody dies, but it's an easy way to show someone how big your internet pen0r is. :stongue:
It's a great game - we would all reccommend it. ;) |

| The only real problem with the game, which I hope will be fixed a bit in the next content push, is that there is a lack of end game content. Sure there is onyxia, molten core, and a few other things, but what happens when guilds overcome those few challenges, there is nothing else to look forward to. But than again, I come from everquest where there is always something new to do I guess. But as more and more people approach end game, I am interested to see when and what blizzard will introduce for high end content. Battlegrounds look interesting, but they are going to need to add alot more instances for both groups and raids at 60. I would also love to see them introduce something like an AA system from EQ to further specialiaze your character. |

i used to play EQ alot as well. Long time ago, is this game similar to EQ? better worse? based on gameplay? yeah as a high level in EQ you could do a bunch of stuff..but i remember when it first came out all you had was Guk or planes with crappy equiptment..

It is like EQ without the grinding, and more based on action. IE, you dont just stand around watching the combat chat to see how much damage your doing. It's much more fast paced. There is also alot of soloing you can do, where in EQ you really couldn't solo past a certain level, and some classes couldnt at all.
IMO, it is better than EQ in terms of gameplay, but in terms of content, there are only a couple of things to do at lvl 60, but than again we'll see what happens when they push new content. |
