Morientes to Liverpool

So what do you guys make of this?

I feel good for him. He is a very underrated striker and it just shows his fighting mentality to stay and compete for his place in the Real Madrid team for so long. I read somewhere that he has scored on his debut for Albacete, Zaragoza, Real, Spain Under-18s, Under-20s and the full national team. Quite amazing.

I hope he does well. Liverpool is shaping to be a pretty decent outfit under Benitez. They just need to hang on to Gerrard for as long as possible and start gelling as a team. Losing Cisse was a huge blow and Morientes will more than make up for that.

Good signing now if they can get Aimar from Valencia:eyes:

It's a good move. Maybe it's just me but he didn't seem happy with Real. Maybe he needed more arrogance to fit in. Who knows.

Well I wouldn't be too happy as well if I were constantly relegated to the bench no matter how good I played (he was after all top scorer for Monaco in champ league).

Ronaldo has maintained his position largely on past reputation. No doubt he is capable of the odd moment of brilliance but on the basis of goals alone Morientes would easily have matched him. Don't forget he was forming a very formidable partnership with Raul and they won the Champ league before Ronaldo arrived.

I cannot agree with you, Ronaldo it's one of the only Real Madrid players in a good moment (along with Casillas, and maybe Helguera). The one who hasn't played in a long long time is Raul, he is the one who deserves the bench.

And BTW I never liked Morientes, but I hope he does well in Liverpool.

Real are ed anyway

Figo doesn't have the hunger anymore

Zidane only passes when it suits him

Ronaldo does nothing too often

Samuel is playing since he signed

They need to move out the ones playing crap and bring good new players in
