unless you add some sort of spice, or buy the expensive ramen..

Rah-men, but the correct pronounciation would be "dah-men", saying the "d" as in "paddy" or "lah-men". |
Lamen is probably a better nomenclature, since orientals have no "r" in their vocabulary. Probably why they are worn out in old movies and for mispronouncing English words which don't exist in their own language. Oh, and from previous post, my wife adds eggs, veggies, cheese, meat, and all kinds of in store bought Ramen, so I really don't know what comes out of the damn package.

@lira: well of course thats the real good shop
i've been to multiple ramen shops in japan :p
however, those cost a few bucks more, plus the whole plain ticket deal if you got nowhere around that has the good homemade stuff
and if we're talking restaurant food, i'd probably prefer some udon or somethin :toothless |

The stuff is great...not the "heathyist" stuff but who am I to be the health judge. I usually add frozen veggie medley ,some hoysen sause and shredded chicked soaked in teriyaki and a little crushed red pepper.:o

Plain noodles and kimchi will do the trick as well.
