Okay here is my question of the night:
If I were to make muffins but not put the muffin mix in a muffin tin but I were to put in a cake pan would it still be considered a muffin?
Scott says it will still be a muffin
Mario says it will still be a muffin
Gavin isn't to sure but more leaning that it would be a muffin
I say it has to be in a muffin tin to be a muffin
Does the shape make the muffin or is it the ingredients?
no I am not drunk..I'm just trying to prove a point |

Sure...I guess it would be still considered a muffin...
I'm sober right now and this question has baffled me to the point where I thought I inhaled something I shouldn't have.... :eyespop: |

hehehe, muffins. LOL
to answer your question, i gotta say no. muffins must be in the standard muffin shape to be accepted as "official" muffins. but what is it when you put muffin mix in a cake pan? i have no freaking clue
but if they are Gainesville New Years style muffins, i dont really think it matters. they wont be around long enought to argue about it, and after you eat em, you won give a anymore. lol |

| scott says because it still taste like a muffin that it should still be a muffin. how can the shape of the food dictate the type of food while using the same ingredients. |

This reminds me of the question...
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around, does it really make a sound?" :conf: |

ok firstly....
the word muffin is funny.
second.... if you were to put a muffin filling a whole cake pan.......it'd most definitely be one ty cake.
but not a muffin
muffins are small and muffin like
a cake is cakey....and cake like.......same ingredients as a muffin, i presume...minus maybe an ingredient or so, but forget that.
its the shape.
its like sayin.......hey.......if i take a midget and melt him....is he still a midget?
no! he's goo!
HE'S GOO!!!!!!!! |

well i didn't hear it, but i could firmly say that there is sound in everything that is in life. so if the tree fell, i doubt it would have fallen gracely as to make NO sound. lol:stongue: |

but about muffins....
dictionary.com says:
muffin - n:
1. A small, cup-shaped quick bread, often sweetened.
unless it's that....it's not a muffin. to find out more about the reference, go to MUFFINS |
