Well, in fairness Prototype was a remake.

chab had no say in this, and i doubt that he approved it in the first place, because he left the moogwai alias a while ago. it is simon berry that ****, that ing made the decision of dragging what was a good label with a really good backcatalogue down into ness, i mean why stop here, next move ask pulsedriver, dj dean & any of theose hardstyle acts to be the main remixer for all future platipus releases.

there's a moogwai album coming up later in this year, does this mean it'll be simon berry producing those tracks instead of francois?

It'll most likely just be a compilation of all his singles so far + a new track or two, just like the Plastic Boy album.

I know..its not gonna be the way forward though "Monster Classics" will be a specific label for re-releases of oldies with new remixes to boot.
Simcut
Okay, I have some accurate information for you guys.

Monster have 14 releases planned between now and July, 5 of which are remakes (both discs of Sublind Believe...Ratty - Sunrise 2005 and 2 others) so that leaves 9 vinyl pressings that are original tracks with remixes from the likes of John Askew and Ronski Speed.

As for Brisky he has a new collaboration with a friend of his that is ORIGINAL work, no remakes or anything, that is due out sometime soon so.... :)
greeko
nothing is better then the original and avb remix
Milbag
Im not really a big fan of these remakes, but if they are done well then fine. The remixes of dreamland and viola are worthy updates IMO, if you don't like them don't buy them, simple.

As for Monster tunes, i think the remakes they have put out so far are pretty good, but as simcut says they've also got some stonking new stuff on the way...

I worshipped the original the first time I heard it. When I heard the 2005 versions, I thought "Gawd, this stinks". It's only a matter of opinion though :)

nothing can beat the original...nothing!
