Tracks with great hooks but then go downhill...

What're some tracks that you think have an amazing first few minutes but then go in a whole other direction for the worse? Keep in mind, these aren't necessarily bad tracks that are listed. They just start off well in your opinion and then go downhill.

One of the top of my head is Enmass - "CQ". I love that opening synth, dark and uplifting at the same time, but I feel like it gets lost as the track progresses.

So what do you say?
Cobalt
Just to mention a recent one: Absolute - Daydream. Starts off very nice but goes downhill to the end.

i believe this has been done before. Aria - Dido (Armin van Buuren remix) was my contribution
Ory
Grace - Skin On Skin (Orange Mix)

Love everything about it... except the vocals. :p
Ygrene
Mike Dragon - Orange Theme (Hardclub Emphasis Mix)

It's a hardtrancer/hardstyle tune that starts of with a great bangin energetic melody. Then it gets to the breakdown and the melody completely changes and the energy just DROPS. Two minutes of that garbage and then it's back to the awesome original melody. I despise those two mintues right in the center of the song. :wtf:
Phortastic
Active Sight - Adrenaline
The_G0dfather
collusion -impetuous, dont quite remember if it's actually that great but it sure has one hell of an anti climax

Nearly every single song that has a silent breakdown (where everything dies for a brief pause) has this effect on me. It wouldn't be so bad if that hook or riff came roaring right back but it tends to be the trend for a little synth/piano melody to meander on its own for a while, followed up by a big build, before we ever here that initial hook again. Such a momentum killer every single time.

Advice to producers: it doesn't do the dancefloor good to have people abruptly stand around for a few minutes after some hard-as- givin'er dancing.

Advice to DJs: if you have to play such a song, please stop playing similar songs one after the other. What's the point in bringing back the momentum only to kill it time after time after time again?

Note: This only applies to when I'm out at a club/rave. Sitting at home, it really doesn't matter since I'm usually chilling as I listen rather than getting my White Man's Wobble on.

marcos - sunfire Has this great build up to an awesome beat then after that orgasmic beat is gone. The song just loses itself because it had nothing besides that beat.
Zombie0915
goryella - ligya

fun dancing until that gay breakdown that almost sounds like a high school graduation, argh!

lost tribe - game master

great fun dancing and beats then mother earth comes in talking about crystals burried in the sand or something, ghey!

barthez - on the move

that first few seconds with the drum tapping noize is really energetic and makes you think that your about to hear an awesome track, then it turns out to just be a retarded melody.

sleepydragon
rank1 - such is life
TweeK
Aria - One

tsk tsk tsk

Banging at first:crazy:  :eyes:

then......wtf?:conf:
