i'm seriously considering getting one. espesh cos this guys offloadin cheap. but then i got to thinkin'... do i really need a cdj800 when a cdj100 would do the job? i guess the main factor for me even considering it is that snazzy loop function. am i retarded? (dont answer this). 500 price diff for stupid loop buttons. should i just get a cdj100?
help me escee and anyone else who has had past experiences with them. ta muchly. |

get the cdj800/1000 over a 100, even if you need to sell half a leg.
Yes there is looping
Yes the pitch is more accurate
Yes they look 10x better
Yes they have reverse mode
Yes they have more flash lights
Yes you can scratch on them just like vinyl
Yes they are totally hot.
I <3 my 1000 even though it doesnt get used as much as I would like to use it. |

definatly the CDJ800 of 100
I have a 1000 SO MUCH FUN! THe 100s get boring fast, they are just a simple cd player with no extras really. Can't mix as tight either |

You would be crazy not to get the 800. I've got one and it is brilliant. It also has the AWSOME beat cutter (which the 1000 doesn't HAVE! I hate playing on 1000's now cause I use the beat cutter so much!) and they have QUICK RETURN which is handy as hell if you wanna scratch/sample etc (also which the 1000 doesn't have).
Definately go for the 800 over the 100 . . and I'd even get a 800 over the 1000. 1000 has pointless features that i would never use, but the whole 800 is put to good use regularly. (Oh and it also LOOKS cooler than the 1000).
Happy Shopping :D |

pffft looks better than the 1000 what ever!! :p
The 1000 dosn't have pointless features, obvisouly ur just a no0b u can't use it
1000 has a better platter as well, 800 is a bit loose. |

i have an 800.. love it!
much prefer it to the 100/1000 or any other cdj. |

how quickly does the cd load on the 800?
Time before you can play the first track
and time before you can see the wave form?
can the 800 record cue points as well?
im not being a douche trying to point out features the 1000 has and the 800 might not, im just wondering. |

if pioneer came out with a CDJ-1800 it would be wicked :P
The 800 lacks some excellent features that the 1000 has and vice versa, u think the 1000 would have all that the 800 has plus more, especially for the price u pay  |

the 800 came out later, so it has a few more features. similarly, the CDJ200 has digital outs and little things that the 1000 would be better for.
biggest loses for me on the 800 - no wave display, no hot cues, a single brake/startup dial.
not such a big deal really, but the difference between 0.05 and 0.02 could be a factor if you go for long mixes. |
