Hell exists. It's not a place though - it's a state of mind.
People create their own Hells on earth just as they create their own respective Heavens. I'd like to say it's all about perception, and I would feel justified, but it seems more and more that people already in Hell don't really want to get themselves out of it. They "live" their entire LIVES worrying about some sort of retribution for their actions - as though some greater power believes that they are special, that they are worth judging. Tell me - do you hold the morals of an Earthworm to the same standards that you do to your fellow man?
Nobody, not even 'God' is going to care about you until you show it some reason to - and even then, god is within you all along. Those who realize their importance to themselves and to those they have learned to love will have realized that Heaven is an everlasting horizon of potentiality. Everyone else is in Hell...
But don't let mythology make you believe that it is eternal. |
