myself and another ukta (Jamie_) on the forums are thinking of coming to america for 2 weeks, including NY, Boston (Jamies family), Washington, and Miami and doing some of WMC.
i dont think neither of us are up for all 4 days, as thats nearly 1/3 of our trip, alot of money as we're not from america, and the club scene is so much stronger in the uk (or atleast it was), this isnt such a big deal to us.
so anyway, we'd like to do some, but not 4 days worth. ive read the FAQ's, but its not very helpful for dummies. How much is WMC, and can u just go to 2 days worth? and how does the WMC work? do they make a big barrier around everything and everythings thats in it, is WMC, and u can only use the hotels inside it?
how strict are they on id'ing? i'll be 19 if i come, its never me held back from underaged clubbing before, but i dunno how strict it'll be. I know sometimes ID'ing gets more relaxed at bigger venues due to the mass amount of people they need to get in.
some info for dummies would be nice, thanks. |

Firstly I would suggest that you guys fly into a city that is a hub. You will spend a lot less flying into the states. Flying into Miami is not being cheap at all and I'm seriously considering driving down if you guys would like to meet with me in Atlanta on March 23 (evening) We could make the ride together. Also check into the hotel thread we have in here titled WMC Hotel- no Cockbags..See what kind of deal you guys can get. A lot of TA's are staying in that hotel and we got it for a fairly good price instead of staying on the beach. They ID pretty hardcore..but you could get away with a fake almost..but i wonder if they are serious on International folks. You would still be able to get into Ultra 7 and the afterparty at the AA building. I want you guys to come so much! I hope you do. Rememeber if you need any help you know where to find me :p

My BF and I are looking into what the best way is to assure we get into the clubs. The tickets for events are usually pre-sold. and there are many beach parties to partake in.
My question is: if you buy a ticket in advance, are you guaranteed entrance? also, do you still have to get there really early and deal with lengthy line-ups?
due to the enormous talent at WMC, the ideal would be to just show up for the dj sets we'd like to see to squeeze in as many acts as possible. We're willing to pay for the advance tickets, we'd just like to know if it will guarantee us entrance. I'd really be uspet if I paid $50 american dollars for a ticket and be turned away.
The information would be greatly appreciated :p

registration fee for the actual conference itself is $325.00 usd (will change to $375.00 usd after february 2, 2005) per person and it includes the passes to get into the conference, seminars, panels, dealers halls, and a pass to the ultra music festival... since you're only intending to come to miami for 2 days, your best bet is to just get a ticket to the ultra music festival and party with the FLTAs and ATLTAs and not attend the conference altogether... ticket prices started at $35.00 usd back in december but i'm not sure how much they are right now... you can buy tickets online for ultra at http://www.ultramusicfestival.us... the conference is at the wyndham resort on miami beach, as for how the conference works, i'm sure someone here could tell you... ultra is at bayfront park i think...
as for hotel, leeann said it best, go to the thread subject titled "WMC Hotel - No Cockbags" and talk to TranCyn or DawnTreader for the hotel deal...

always have your picture ID with you, enough said... just be sure to check out if the event you're trying to attend is 18 and up or 21 and up before you go, if that is possible... |

| most people dont actually go to the conference cuz that is what is is. a cenference with workshops and alot of that i dont even know about. what most of us go for is the clubs during the conference and of course ultra. if you only wanna come for like 2 days. i would recomend ultra and a night a space or crobar. |
