Yeah, I agree Cobalt. I dunno what '05 holds in store. We'll see. I want BT to release something that's gonna blow our mind.

Well I thought he was referring to the Tiesto Remix, and as far as i'm informed its end of 2001 when that remix came out. But i might be wrong, because it was 2001 when I really got into EDM.

The Tiesto Remix might've been released in 2001, but Oakey was playing it in 1999 (the finished version, yes), and that's what matters. By 2001 I bet many were sick of it already, though it's a good track.

So yeah, it's old.

Well yeah, I commented already that it is quite old.. but i wasn't aware that it was '99. I always assumed it was 2001 because of the Tiesto remix that year and Oakenfolds radio edit that was all over the stations and was even released through Perfecto the same year.

I thought Tiesto remix made this song what it is. I guess not.

Yes and no.

Oakenfold played the Tilt mix during his '99 world tour, and it was popular then, but I think the combination of that with Tiesto's remix in 2001 is what made it an anthem trance "classic".

EDIT: nvm.

Can you name some?

Vocal tracks that have really stood out in my opinion last year or two are as follows:

JFOS - Do What You Want (Infusion)
Kate Bush vs Infusion - Running Up That Hill
Andain - Beautiful Things (Original)
BT - The Force of Gravity (Original) [even though it is popish]
John Creamer, Stephane K and Lance Jordan present Susana - Storm is Rising (Lance Jordan Shoreline Mix)
Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL)
Amiel - Love Song (Scumfrog)
Dfuse - Everything With You (Original)
Tiesto - Love Comes Again [yeah i know i know, but i really don't mind this one]
Conjure One - Tears From The Moon (Hybrid)
Conjure One - Center Of The Sun (Junkie XL)
Halogen Vs. Bluephaze - On A Bridge (Original Mix)

and then i cant name any more...

Funny as most of those are progressive.........trance vocal tracks are pretty sad these days, but so are the majority of the releases.
