Server And Anti-Leech Help
Ok guys here's the problem.
I am being told that my server is slowing down at the end of the download. I dont want anyone to have a poor service from www.kuffdam.co.uk
I want you all to be able to download my mixes and get great speed too.

So I have started using Anti-leech to stop the stealing and leeching. The problem is this is slowing the service. So does anyone know of a way I can monitor any leeching and track who's doing it or does anyone know of a way to enable the use of download accelerator with Anti-Leech.

I don't mind the bandwidth usage but I do mind people link to other sites and stealing my tracks.....

Help anyone....

I want to improve my service for all.....
And protect myself...........

isn't that what anti-leech is supposed to do ??

i get pretty good speeds from them early in the morning, later in the day is a different story.

You (or I) could write a web application to only allow downloading from your referring page (ie. Kuffdam.co.uk/whatever.xxx) but you would need to run an application server such as Cold Fusion or PHP to do so.

Up until today I used to be able to click on the first part of a track from http://d2k.dedserver.org (in Mozilla, NS6 or Opera 5), copy the URL, paste it into a HTML document as many times as there are parts, change the last # & save the file. Then leech them through GoZilla. It worked really well up until today, when I couldn't load the page in any of those browsers (& IE doesn't give you the URL as easily) So I ended up just downloading from IE. Still got like 300KBps average early today. Then dropped to around 25KBps around 10:30-11:00 am

Was this from my site you were getting these speeds......

Oh and I know that anti-leech protects but I just wondered if there was a way to enable links to Download programs.....

Oh, yr anti leech thing didnt work anyway, i just used to let it try and download in IE, and then cancel it, and gozilla would still detect, and then leech. I dont like to have to use IE downloading, due tobeing a 56k user, but thanx for all yr sharing, i hope you get that jules set up soon, i will keep checking back.
