Piero Cristiani
Greeting to you all...

My name is Piero Cristiani, I currently live in El Salvador (Central America), I've been deeply involved in the local Electronic Scene for around two years now.. promoting events, managing a DJ, attending parties, among others...

I'll be moving into Minnesota (Mineapolis/St. Paul Area) in Aug/Sept of this year to study Political Science and would like to know more about Minnesota's Electronic Scene, I'd appreaciate if you could give me info on: the most popular Sub-Genres (house/trance/prog/techno/etc), Raves, Clubs, Record Stores, etc.

Did I mention my favorite genre is Progressive(-House)?

Favorite DJs: Moshic, John Creamer, Luke Fair, Desyn Masiello, Sasha, Digweed, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Zabiela, Saeed & Palash... you get the idea

come into the MN TA link, THREAD LINK HERE , we got like two promoting companies, we actually have people who will get you in touch with them

otherwise it's not really that much of a trance hotbed, never was, chicago on the other hand - only 6 hours away, is a great place to visit once in a while with Vision being probably the best in the upper midwest region of US

Then some things go down in Milwaukee, at three and (EDIT), sometimes rave, that's about 4.5 hours from Minneapolis, depending on how fast you drive

if you wanna keep up with all the big club events/big dj events check out http://www.mnvibe.com

aside from the events forum theres just a lot of bitching and whining there, so i don't really use it for much else.

Already talked via mnvibe, but Eccentric Beats does a residency with Sound In Motion @ Tabu.... We played the nights of Gabriel & Dresden, James Zabiela, K-Swing to name a few.... Our next night is the 4th of Feb with Habersham....

While it seems most of the people on here are trance fans for the Minnesota section (which seems logical given the name of the site), there are quite a few progressive listeners..

MercuryServer.com is a great place for music resources as well as where most of the MN/WI progressive peeps go....

Looking forward to meeting you when you get in town this summer...

yeah, usually quite a few good acts come in summer, last year we had Cokie and Tiesto to name some of the bigger acts. Sander K was in town too, though i might be wrong.

2003 Winter had Sander K, Nick Warren, and Steve Lawler to name a few.. That was also when AVB and the majority of trance acts came...

2004 seemed to go downhill for the amount of trance acts here in town, Ferry Corsten and Tiesto seemed to be the main ones, Oakenfold and Christopher Lawrence as well off the top of my head..

2005 I'm sure will be promising...
