Diablo 3

I loved diablo 2 with a passion... Probably my #1. I thought it was a flawless game. Blizzard says they are going to revisit the diablo series sometime, and I would assume it would be more of an MMORPG. Anyway, any other D2 fans out there? What do you think would be some good ways for Blizzard to approach D3?

i think the chances of them making d3 anytime soon is pretty slim, but i know itll eventually show up, but chances are theyll prlly make SCII before they make DIII =( which is unfortunate

Wow i thnk that gay that they would approach D3 first rather than starcraft 2. Dont get me wrong i am a diablo fan myself. But starcraft is a great game too.

Here's a great marketing idea for Blizzard. Package, in each box of Diablo 3, a gun. That way, we could "easily" escape the world of Diablo.

I'm sorry but Diablo 2 stole my life so I'm scared of what Diablo 3 will bring. :nervous:

I know the feeling... Blizzard has quite a habit of creating amazingly addictive games. I remember uninstalling numerous times on account of my addiction, only to install it like 3 days later. I'm thinking about sending my app into them for a summer job just because their games are so solid :)

Diablo 2 was actually my first addiction to online gaming, used to play it 24/7, had all the best items highest level charters and all…The expansion kind of ruined it for me tough, and than came all the dupes and damn hacks. It took all the magic out of that game, haven't played since…
But I recon Blizzard wont be making any big MMORPG anytime soon since they need to put all efforts on promoting World Of Warcarft, which is an amazing game by itself.

1.04 > all else

1.06 with a close second.

the expansion pack ruined the necromancer

i had a level 76 necromancer (that i developed entirely in off-line solo play) w/ armor giving a net of +11 to all skills, so my level 31 Iron Maiden returned about 900% damage. In combo w/ the blood gollum this used to be unstopable, until the expansion came along and introduced immunities and stuff like that... hordes of demons would vanish in flames in mere seconds around my gollum before, but alas, now it sometimes takes as much as 15 seconds! :stongue:

I just know the Diablo game for the PS1 (which means no online-play), but even that was addicting as hell!! I'd really appreciate a new Diablo game for PS2, but as much as I know there is no actual plan to release one. Too bad...:(

the one thing I hated about Diablo and D2 was all the hacks.
it almost forced you to cheat just to stay alive.

heh, I remember I had like 2 copies of that game that I would run pindlebot and shopbot on whenever I wasn't around to be playing the game myself.

Then later that D2JSP thing came out and people could write their own scripts to automate pretty much everything that a d2 character does.

Then came the 1.10 patch which made all of that stuff useless and nerfed pretty much everything.

I had a couple friends who failed out of school because of D2, I was lucky I had the bots running so I didnt feel the need to play constantly to get those items and stuff.

D3 will probably be quite awesome, I hope they will make in in such a way that people wont revovle their entire lives around it though. I think they made it to take up too much time.
