Expect this topic to be riddled with spoilers about the Fullmetal Alchemist Movie.
So it, apparently, takes place 2 years after the ending of FMA. I'm just wondering whether the trailer showed flashbacks (which didn't look familiar at all) or whether Edward Elric found a way to get back to his own world. That raises another question: If those weren't flashbacks then how is Al back in his armor?
In my opinion, the anime wasn't THAT great but I am looking forward to the movie.
Still no idea why everyone was so worked up about this. :conf: |

I think it would be interesting to see Ed and stuff in that period... I heard that he some parts take place with Nazi's (no joke) and that it all ties into the rise of the nazi's in ww2 or something... |
That would only make sense if Ed was 10+ years older. Don't forget that the last we see of Edward, he's in 1922. |

Nazi's started to form in the 1920's (well they had been around before that, but they really gained power in the 20's)... seriously one of the people that they show walking with his father at the end is like one of the founding members of the Nazi party in Germany. I heard that parts of it tie into that, and all this weird stuff.... :eyespop: |
If you originally meant that the movie would take place BEFORE the nazi party actually became big... then yeah. I guess that'd make sense.
T'was the DAP back then. It wasn't until 1933 that the actual Nazi Party came into power. That's 11 years! Not so wheeeeeeeeeee.
Anyways, I found it intriguing that Ed didn't trust Albert Einstein. |
