Steelers or Patriots (pg. 2)

Thats right, Jets deserved to lose, their offense was MIA. you cant win a playoff game just on defense, but they sure came close, but their idiot kicker screwed up.

Patriots should win.

Putting the blame on Brien is expected. But when 14 of your 17 points are scored on a kick return TD and an interception return TD, the blame definitely should be elsewhere... There's nearly no doubt in my mind that Eli will be the better NY/NJ QB in a year or two.

lol Im the only person to vote for the steelers so far
ok so basicly we're all going with what we just saw last week.which can be a mistake.
Let us not forget the Steelers are not only pulling out wins like the Pats have done in the past but they won 15 games in a row just like last years patroits.
Also their at home.
The Steelers defence is not like Indys.

This game is mainly gonna be about corey dillon and kevin faulk vs Jerome Bettis and Deuce Staley, cant wait

should I vote for who I want, or who I think?
I want steelers to win, but I think the pats will.

:stongue:

EDIT: and by the way, i'm not going by what I saw last week... I am going by what I know.... belichick...brady....bruschi...dillon...BAM!!!!

I agree though with Eddie that people tend to look at what happened last week. That's why so many people predicted the Colts/Rams/Vikings in upsets.

I'm picking the Pats because they are the champions and really haven't shown anything to disprove that yet.

I just don't think it's a runaway choice here. I just hope the Steelers smash the Pats in the mouth. They can't go away from their gameplan or what got them 15 wins in a row (ie: Colts suddenly becoming conservative last week). Stick to your strengths, if you're gonna lose, do it that way. Have the arrogance to still run the ball. Then, mix in some deeper throws on the Pats banged up secondary. Don't dink it and then let the Pats swarm like a bear on honey. Sure the Pats will put 8-9 in the box but you still have to run the ball to win. Don't give up on it. Mix in some longer attempts. The Steelers have physical WR's which helps them against NE.

totally agree with you, I hate the Jets maybe even more than the Steelers...but the point is...the Steelers nearly lost to a team without offense....thats why im saying theres no way they gonna beat the Pats....big Ben discovered that playoffs were a different game I think....and hes gonna have some difficulties against defense genius Belichik.

if you win playoff games just on defense thats pretty sad. None of these teams in the playoffs are entirely defense.

great defenses help win playoffs but if you have an absense of offense you are going to lose.

it was like watching my home team finish the season with a record of something like 4 wins 12 losses, but they have very good defense.

im not saying that an only-defense team has the greatest chance of winning a superbowl.....but I think its more important to have the better defense than the better offense

There have been examples of amazing offenses and adequate defenses winning the Super Bowl like the St. Louis Rams in 1999 and San Fran in the 80's. Solid D's but nothing spectacular.

Then there were defenses that were some of the best, Baltimore Ravens/Chicago Bears, with merely adequate offenses.

I think you need one dominant aspect and one adequate. Indy only has the matador D installed.

there are now 2 fools.

Id bet pats, but I hope and pray on the steelers.
so I voted for them.

on sunday night, temperatures are expected to be in the lower teens .. :wtf: ..

this is pure classic hard nosed football weather here .. we expect to see a classic game here, especially since 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected to fall in pittsburgh on saturday, so we will possibly see some snow action here .. :wtf:
