ok, and what about if they are drunk, or have been drinking? i think thats the same with smoking, is it not? |
I they are drunk or have been drinking then they should be dealt with ONLY if they are committing a crime. Drunkeness itself should not be considered a crime unless you are behind the wheel. |

We've been invaded by Auzzies!
Let's see....
Maple syrup, Mounties, snow (want some?), Taxes, our water spins in the right direction, yes we do have a Navy, our French are WACKED (but awesome partiers), Hockey is everything, we can drink the U.S. under the table, our beer actually has alcohol unlike the U.S.'s, it's REAL cold right now (-30 C) :nervous:, at -50C our gas freezes and we have to use our sled dogs, our igloos are real neat...
Other than that....we're pretty normal and will party at the drop of a hat... :tongue2
oh yea, if I wanted Canada to be invaded, I'd want it to be by cool Aussies! |
Couldn't have said it better myself - you party just as crazy as us Aussies :-) LoL You forgot to mention the ice rain and windchills and snow storms though.......yes, i survived it all, first time i saw snow in my life and experienced such arctic circle conditions! :-)
I invaded beautiful OH CANADA for one whole year and unfortunatley my visa expired so i had to return to the land downunder. :(
Miss it lots and would give anything to go back again someday.
TORONTO is the bomb EH! :D
P.S. Miss getting Timmies every morning on the way to work LoL
Ohhh one thing i don't think i'll ever get used to is: Last call at the bar.....i've never heard of such a thing in Oz....so you can imagine all the times i was out in T.O. and everyone was telling me we had to go, and i was only just getting started LoL |

| yeah for the aussies who started this thread this is their first taste of the 'TOTA unnecessary politics discussions' which invade every second thread. |

This is pretty much strictly a North American phenomenon. I dont know why people here seem to think having a last call is necissary. |

18 but not strictly enforced. (much like Europe) |

| last call exsists in ireland too. When my mom used to bartend before moving here, it was like 11pm, but because all irish are such raging alcoholics, they'd just buy 10 drinks at last call and the bar wouldn't close till like 2 or 3 in the morning. |

You are right. The only other place that last call exists is Ireland and the UK which is why we got stuck with it. Some how the aussies freed themselves from it and im envious. |

sorry jayx1, i had to go last nite. anyways the debate is about age, not about being behind the wheel. whats ur opinion about cops pulling you on a side and demanding id if your drunk? (not when behind the wheel) |
