OK, I got the record today. I hate to post this, I feel like a total noob...but the discogs release
http://www.discogs.com/release/53445
says that it's 1 sided.
The record that I got is double-sided...
Is it a typo on the discogs part or are there bootlegs floating around?
oh boy:(
edit: i should probably note that the sleeve it came is is the exact same as the one pictured on discogs... |

Onion! My old friend! How is life under the earth? Is it cold? Is it wet? Is it dark? Are the worms creepy crawly and nasty? Do Platipuses eat onions? I hope not! What a dreadful situation for you, if true! |

The whitelabel version only has one side... with the original mix on it
The version that most people have has two sides...

Thank God...
I was really worried I had gotten a bootleg. Especially buying stuff off ebay. In the auction, it said "1 sided vinyl". I guess the guy didn't even know what he had. Oh well, worked out well for me :D
Oh and ONION:
can you tell me what the 2 songs are on the LP?
Obviously the orignial on one, but wtf is the other?
Cheers! |

The limited 500 copies Unity track by Orkidea is only on 1-sided White Label Promo.
You might have gotten either:
1) Original 1993 release of Dead Can Dance - Host of the Seraphim
2) Scarab, The vs. Inzite - Unity Of Earth 2002 (unlikely as there are 2 tracks on each side)
3) Bootleg'ed vinyl copy pressed in limited amounts |

err...is this release full of misinformation???
on discogs it says 1000 copies

WOW DOES THE PLOT THICKEN:
After becoming EXTREMELY angry at seeing that I have a vinyl with grooves on both sides I decide to play the other side to find out what exactly I've got here.
The other side, though grooved, is nothing but static/blank. Never in my life have I seen a record that was grooved but blank. Usually aren't they just left smooth and ungrooved?
Regardless, I feel a hell of a lot better now knowing I actually do have the original. Wow, what a dumbass I am. But what can I say, I've never seen a side with no track grooved before :conf: |

I have never seen it anywhere as a vinyl single but it got out on Dead Can Dance - Serpeant's Egg 12"/LP back in 1988 and on several other DCD albums later on. |
