ive had my TV for about a year now and my dumbass roomate lost the remote, but that aint the bad part that ****** somehow got the thing on a sleep mode or something cause now everytime i turn it i just ing turns off :whip: i went bought a new remote thinking that it would help fix it but no luck so im like it maybe one of ya can help ... so anbody ahve this happen and know how to fix it?

uhhh...you need to disable sleep mode.
You need to buy a universal remote that has sleep on it, or else buy a replacement remote that is the same one that came with the tv (contact the company)
There might be a reset all settings thing somewhere in the menu, assuming you can access the menu using the buttons on the front panel. Hell you might even be able to access sleep mode from the front panel buttons. |

What's the manufacturer and model # of the tv?
from the pic name it sounds like a jvc .... one of the rare brands I can't help u with :( |

| Kinda obvious solution...unplug the TV for about an hour, plug it back in, it should reset itself. |

| Most TVs come with the menu buttons themself, Check the front of your set and see if theres any button to go to some menu, And try to scroll thru the different settings to see if you find that sleep mode that you want to disable. |

unpluged it when i went to work got back home and still nothing i think my roomate just bought me a new TV cause ive tried everything i can think of short of taking it to someone who knows what they are doing......:eek: *idea* |

yeah ive tried that too the TV just turns right off like in less than a second :(
i turn it on and it just turns off no time to get to the menu or anything like that |

so essentially, u have a television that has a sleep mode which doesnt let u back into normal mode.
never in my life have i seen a television with such a stupid interface. surely theres a reset button or some buttons on the face of the TV |
