Valid Photo ID?

Hey guys. I have a problem.

I just recently turned 19, but can't find my driver's license anywhere. I've sent in for a new one, but there's no way I'll get it in time for the party @ the Guv on Jan 29. I have a health card with proof of age, address, postal code and photo on it, but I've heard this may not be enough. Can anyone comment on this?

I could also bring a student card (it has a photo. No proof of age, but it does confirm the name of the health card) and a birth certificate if need be. Is this enough?

Health card is ok. It's government issued.

A current photo health card will be enough to get you in. You won't have any problems.

Wrong...most clubs do not accept health cards as a valid age verification ID...sorry but that I know for sure - it's a gamble. I've seen way too many people get rejected with health cards.

Usually a health card can only be used as confirmation (if for example 2 IDs are required) ;)

Provincial law = health cards cannot be used as ID to buy alcohol or smokes.

WHY you ask? Could it have something to do with how the cards are obtained? Or maybe they are easy to reproduce?

NOPE!

The simple reason is because the government doesnt feel that you should be able to use a "health" card to "ruin your health." Chalk it up to yet another babysitting technique implemented by "nanny" government.

Oh yes and the latest law says that even if you are 85 you must be asked for ID to go into a club because all people preent in a licensed establishment must have valid ID. Pathetic isn't it?

WE NEED THESE LIBERALS OUT OF OFFICE QUICKLY

Is that REALLY the reason or just one of your conspiracy theories? :toothless

Cause if that's actually true that's kinda silly :p
