I didn't know he played at love parade. I knew he was part of The Quark's Tour though, but I wasn't sure if he djed, or did some sort of live thing with that.

They say seven cups of coffee is enough for a caffiene overdose, and I drank 12 in under an hour! This is not an uncanny occurence for me, however sporadically! Last time it was more than 12! Good graces!

Actually, it takes about fifty cups of coffee in succession to reach a potentially lethal dose of caffeine. The only instances of people dying from the drug are accidental injections intended to be insulin.

Most glad you've come to abuse my beverage of choice.

I saw Ory, and saw that I was him, if in a somewhat less offensive form! I saw that that is not what I wish to be! And most recently, I drank a large amount of caffeine, which likely changed my brain chemistry slightly! I heard it can affect ones nervous system! Oh dear!

Huzzah! Now stop using exclaimation marks.

Wow, I remember when I came up with this McProg nonsense about a year ago. I've been away from TA for a while and I'm surprised with how this term has caught on.

McProg is one of the reasons why TA turned me off for the past half year. Too many Markus Schulz and ASOT whores made this place boring, because most of their music is overprocessed biodegradable supersaw junk. Even Tijs started to play a few of these tracks, and that really scared me. LOL. Oh well, hello everyone.

I've made an attempt to advance the alternate label "American Progressive," deeming McProg too colloquial for official use.

But you own all rights and reserves to the brilliant McProg label, unconditionally.

I like that name. Being the subgenre compusive that I am, it would be nice to attach it to something. But I always thought of the artists you cite as Dutch (epic) trance.

you sir, along with all the other lackeys here who have jumped on this mcprog bandwagon, are mistaken.

progressive refers to progressive HOUSE, not progressive TRANCE. progressive is an effort to make house less monotonous and one step closer to trance as we know it.

i realize this is a music disucssion room, so you're free to comment on sub-genres like progressive and say it sucks as well as all other american music, but if you're planning on djing anywhere here in america i suggest you pull your head out of your ass and realize that progressive is much more palatable to the average club-goer than trance is. does that mean it's better? no. it doesn't. but you need to realize that it plays an important role in the electronic music scene.

Holy crap YT, you should coin that term while you have the chance. It will spread like flashfires on TA, mark my words ;)

Aha! Aha! Death is not the only symptom of caffeine overdose sir! In fact it is but one of many!

I don't quite understand what you're saying here.

People who blast "McProg" generally have nothing against progressive house. In fact, it's called "McProg" because it's an offshoot of progressive house that lost its way. The American Progressive sound is not derived from progressive trance, any more than progressive itself is.

I would class some of the stuff John "00" Fleming plays as closer to the progressive trance that I enjoy, but that's just me.

Like i have said before, i do not enjoy the "American Progressive" sound much, apart from a few select tracks, but I think J00F plays some awesome proggy trance.

Just my opinion and my taste....
